Tour Plan

Our second tour today start at 11am (can change depends on your request), our guide will meet you in the hotel and we will start our tour with visiting Göreme panorama point. Here you will see its magnificent Valley Scenery Views of Swords Valley, Love Valley, and Red Valley. Take great pictures and share with millions. The formation of fairy chimneys continues, clearly as in Red Valley Mountain and Zelve Mountain.

Now visit the Göreme Open Air Museum where you can see several churches built into caves by Christians between the 10th and 13th centuries. In the museum you have a chance to visit several different churches and chapels: Saklı Church, Kılışlar Churh, St Basil Church, Yılanlı (Onuphrius) Church, St Catherine’s Chapel and Çarıklı (Sandal) Church and the monks’ refectory, tombs, cellars and larders.

After Göreme Open Air Museum you go to Avanos, a small town known for its ceramics. Avanos (the former names are Zu-Vinessa or Venessa), situated by the river of Kizilirmak or Halys River from ancient times as Herodes called it. Avanos which was settled on both edges of the Red River is one of the tourism center in the region. Here is the places in which ateliers of ceramics are worked, soil is shaped and cooked in order to make pots and pans. No one can find such nice handmade arts in anywhere in the world at this price. There you have lunch and also visit a ceramics workshop where you can see how pottery is made and decorated.

After Lunch in Avanos, you will be able to see Devrent Valley, and also Zelve Valley, you most probably won’t want to stop taking pictures of these areas. Devrent valley and its strangely shaped fairy chimneys. In Devrent valley you can view rocks of different shapes, there is one that resembles a camel.

Last we head over to the Kaymaklı Underground City. This incredible underground city contains courtyards, stables, churches and even wineries all intertwined in an extensive network of tunnels.
