Transfer to hotel (According to arrival time it is possible to Arrange the optional Bosphorus Tour)
Your day will commence with a visit to the ancient Byzantine Hippodrome where you will see the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Fountain of Wilhelm II, the elegant Blue Mosque famous with its heavenly six minarets . The Mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design. You will visit the Hagia Sophia Museum, built during the reign of Emperor Theodosius and burned down in the fire of Nika Revolt in 532 A.D. Day tour will continue with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, exploring a labyrinth of streets and passages housing more than 4,000 shops. After lunch you will be guided to visit the Topkapi Palace, residence and administrative center of the Ottoman Sultans. After the tour you will be leaded back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Destinations : Kaymaklı Underground City, Sobesos, Keşlik monastery, Sinasos, , Red Valley.
We will take morning flight to Cappadocia and departure 2 hours before flight from the hotel, After arrival to Cappadocia we will start our trip by visiting Kaymaklı Underground City, one of the most interesting underground settlements in Cappadocia. It is fascinating to see the living quarters , tunnels and wine cellars. Drive to to Sahinefendi ( Sobesos )- Sobessos is recently discovered (01 May 2002) mosaic basalicaand and ancient Roman baths Archaeological excavation site. Villages in the valleys, surrounded by the “table top” mountains, are spectacular. Continue with Keslik Monastery near Cemil, that hides it’s frescoes behind a very thin smoke layer which we can only see by torch light. Lunch break. Visit to Mustafapaşa (Sinasos), an old Greek town with its spectacular old Greek houses; very fine examples of late Greek settlements and architecture. Continue with panorama of the Red Valley, with its fabulous volcanic rock formations, is best sunset point Overnight Cappadocia
Destinations : Devrent Valley, Paşabağ, Göreme Open Air Museum ,Uçhisar.
In the morning, first meeting with the lunar landscape of Cappadocia: rock formations beyond belief in Devrent valley; a journey in the past with its troglodyte houses, visit to Pasabag “fairy chimneys” where you can see fairy chimneys with three caps. Lunch in Avanos . Avanos is really well known with traditional pottery workshops . ın the afternoon visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum and see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings . Continue to Uchisar Rock-Castle to have a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia
Destinations :Virgin Mary House , Ephesus Ancient city, Saint John Church.
Pick-up from hotel 2 hours before flight departure. Take the morning flight from Kayseri to Izmir (direct or via Istanbul). Transfer from airport to ephesus to Visit the House of Virgin Mary is located on the top of mt Koressos (in turkish mt Bulbul,/mt nightingale)in the vicinity of Ephesus. The shrine of Virgin Mary enjoys a marvelous atmosphere hidden inthe green. Drive back to Ephesus.We will spend several hours walking in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, Caesar, Cicero, Apostles Paul and John and many other familiar historical names. The recently opened Terrace Houses where the wealthiest Romans lived are an excellent example of sensitive excavation and presentation. The mosaics and frescos are spectacular. Tradition has it that Virgi Mary was brought here by St John after the Crucifixion and lived her final years near the city of Ephesus on an isolated mountaintop. We will continue with Saint John Church where Apostle John spent his final years and he was buried here. Overnight Kusadasi near Ephesus.
Destinations : Laodicea, Cotton Castle, Hierapolis,.
Depart to Pamukkale, on the way, visit to Laodicea (present name Denizli) , one of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor. Excavations still going on . We will drive to Hierapolis (Holy city) . We will see the largest ancient necropolis (the death city) of Anatolia, agora, theatre, ancient pool and the travertine terraces. The travertine terraces at Pamukkale are one of the most spectacular natural wonders that you can see from various mineral springs in a vast White cliff side. Overnight in Pamukkale.
